MIS document

Assignment details:

Using a minimum of one archive/found image and a minimum of one digital photograph (made by yourself for this module), as well as text, create a politically engaged Photomontage which considers the cyborg (the merging of the body and technology).

Your combined image must use two or more originals (one or more must be an image of a human body and one or more must be an image of technology). You may also include written text however this isn’t obligatory.

Your work should have a clear standpoint. Perhaps this is a utopian view of the cyborg, a post-human continually improving and moving forward or this is could be dystopian consideration of the body, in a culture where body parts are increasingly understood as commodities. Think about the power that you, as an image-maker, wield and how you want to use it.  A consideration of your your audience will help you (are you making work for the gallery wall, an advertising campaign, for editorial, fashion, etc.). You may be imaginative, artistic, comic or deliberately satirical.
